Your Landlord, Liz
Meet Liz, our landlady and the beating heart of The Queen Inn. She’s been running the show for eight years, and if you’ve met her, you’ll know — she loves a good laugh and making everyone feel welcome.
Liz believes a great pub is all about community, quality, and connection. She takes pride in keeping standards high, making sure every pint is perfect and every guest leaves with a smile. The Queen Inn isn’t just her workplace — it’s her passion, and she truly lives and breathes it.
Your Head Chef, Paul
There’s something special happening in The Queen Inn’s kitchen — and it’s all thanks to our new Head Chef, who’s bringing both heart and heat back to the stove.
With over 21 years of experience, his story with The Queen Inn comes full circle. He first joined us as an apprentice back in 2006, and now returns to lead the kitchen where his journey began.
After years spent in larger kitchens with chain-style menus, he’s embracing the freedom to cook real food from scratch — just as it should be. His focus is on creating good, honest dishes that are both comforting and skilfully prepared. He aims to strike the perfect balance between homely flavours and a touch of flair, celebrating traditional craftsmanship in every plate. Passionate about reviving the classics, he’s especially keen to bring back the lost art of a proper pie.
What People Are Saying
“What a really great pub. Your staff are excellent, I only wish I had got the young Ladies name who served us. She deserves a payrise. The pub has a really nice traditional feel. Food is amazing and great staff. If I could give you 6 out of 5 I happily would.”

The Team
Our pub wouldn’t be what it is without the people behind the bar, in the kitchen, and out on the floor. We’re proud to have a team made up of friendly faces from both near and far — from our local village to the wider area.
We’re especially proud to give opportunities to local young people, helping 16-year-olds take their first steps into work, build confidence, and develop valuable social and teamwork skills. It’s all part of what makes our pub a true part of the community — where everyone feels welcome, supported, and part of the family.
